Sunday Worship.
A foundation of faith for everything we do.
Come join us as we gather faithfully each week around God’s gifts of grace poured out in Word proclaimed and meal shared. There is a basic pattern for worship among Lutherans. We gather. We encounter God’s Word through Scripture. We share a meal at the Lord’s table through Holy Communion. And we are sent into the world. But we do not think about worship so much in terms of what we do. Worship is fundamentally about what God is doing and our response to God’s action. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Communion
All who are baptized and share our faith that Christ is present with us in Word and Sacrament are invited to share in Holy Communion. Both red wine and clear grape juice are offered. Communing children are reminded to hold out their hands to receive the wafer. Children not communing are invited to come and receive a blessing. Gluten-free rice communion wafers are available.
Music
Worship integrates a variety of music that is appropriate in emphasizing the scriptural theme of the day. In keeping with the Lutheran tradition, music is a vital component of our worship and reflects the many gifts and talents of all present in our gathering that holds Christ at the center. The sanctuary is handicapped accessible. Large print bulletins and listening aids are available for individuals with sight or hearing impairments.
