Welcoming Statement
First Lutheran Church, dedicated to the mission of Jesus Christ, welcomes you into our community of faith, where we share life in its entirety with all its joys and sorrows. We believe all people are created in the image of God and are offered God’s love, grace and forgiveness, regardless of religious tradition, age, gender, race, education, economic status, sexual orientation, family structure, mental or physical abilities. If you have felt excluded, here or elsewhere, to you we extend a special welcome in Christ’s love.
Sunday Worship
Regular Schedule: 8:30 and 11:00 AM September through May
Summer Schedule:
June: 8:30 and 10:00 AM in the church sanctuary
July and August: 8:30 in the church sanctuary and 10:00 AM Outdoor Worship in Leif Erikson Park
Invitation to Communion
All who are baptized and share our faith that Christ is present with us in Word and Sacrament are invited to share in Holy Communion. Both red wine and clear grape juice are offered. Gluten-free rice communion wafers are available.
Children
Children are always welcome at Sunday worship which usually includes a short children’s sermon. Our Nursery is available each Sunday morning, 8:15-12:00. A cry room with a view of the sanctuary and worship audio is also available. Activity bags for small children are available.
Persons with Disabilities
Users are ready to assist you with large print worship bulletins, assistive listening devices and wheelchairs. Handicapped parking is available on the east side parking lot. Use the ramp at the double door Superior Street entrance into the church or the east side parking lot entrance. An elevator is available just inside the London Road entrance.
