Two and Three Year Olds
Parents attend class with 2 & 3 year olds and join a wonderful, supportive community of parents and children with great energy, music, crafts and bible stories.
Four and Five Year Olds
4 & 5 year olds learn foundational bible stories through music, story, and crafts.
First through Sixth Grades:
Stories and Hands-on Workshops
Sunday school for first through sixth grades uses an innovative workshop rotation approach with students learning a Bible story or faith lesson in depth and using different learning styles for 3-6 weeks. Each week students learn about the story in a different hands-on way as they participate in a variety of workshops using a different type of activity such as art, science, music, drama/storytelling, cooking games, video and more. The stories this year are: Creation, The Lord’s Prayer, The Christmas Story, The Good Samaritan, Ruth & Naomi, Holy Week & Easter, and Fruits of the Spirit.
This approach emphasizes the importance of all the adults in the congregation in passing on the faith to children by participating in large group leadership, specialty workshop teaching and functioning as class “shepherds,” assisting and guiding students during the program.
