Worship Team: Adults, Grades 7-12
The Worship Team rehearses weekly at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary to prepare to lead worship at 11:00 a.m. Made up of singers and instrumentalists, they enjoy a wide variety of styles, including contemporary and global music
Senior Choir: Adults, High School and Beyond
Choral music holds a central place within Lutheran worship practices. The Senior Choir is committed to leading the congregation in corporate worship through liturgy, hymnody and the preparation of weekly anthems that witness to Christ’s love and the gospel message and centers our faith community. A wide variety of musical styles and periods make up the repertoire for this group during the program year. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 in the Sanctuary.
Apostle Choir and Ringers: Children in Grades 3-6
The Apostle Choir participates in worship several times per month. They have a tradition of sharing Christ’s love in the community by caroling at various locations. Following a light snack at 3:45 p.m., the choir rehearses from 4:00-4:40 on Wednesdays. The Apostle Ringers are a beginning hand chime and handbell group. They learn ringing techniques as well as note and rhythm reading. They rehearse from 4:40-5:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Confirmation Choir: Youth Enrolled in Confirmation in Grades 7-9
The Confirmation Choir participates in worship several times throughout the confirmation year and serves as the primary musical leaders during the mid-week Lenten services. The group may rehearse either one-half hour immediately before or after confirmation classes.
Youth Ringers: Grades 7-12
The Youth Ringers are an intermediate to advanced handbell choir. They enjoy learning challenging repertoire and hymn and anthem arrangements, occasionally accompanying the Confirmation Choir. They rehearse Sundays from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Instrumental Music
Instrumental groups are periodically put together to enhance our worship on Sunday mornings as well as during Advent and Lenten Vespers. All ages are welcome, generally from middle-school through adult. Let us know what instrument you play
