Lefse Fun Run

After decades of a Lutefisk dinner complete with lefse, lingonberries, salmon and meatballs, Covid moved us to pivot to something new. The lutefisk dinner is no longer, but since December 2022 we partner with our immediate neighbor- the Duluth Running Company to put on a Lefse Fun Run to connect with our neighbors, raise money for Safe Haven (a local domestic abuse shelter), and carry on the Scandinavian tradition of making lefse.

Get ready for the tastiest event of the season—it’s the Lefse Run! Join FLC. and our neighbors- Duluth Running Co. on Saturday, December 13th for a morning of running, community, and LEFSE—all to support a great cause: Safe Haven!

This run is FREE! We suggest a donation to Safe Haven, which you can easily make when you sign up. When you do, you get in on the run and a piece of lefse when you finish.

We’re also bringing back the Lefse Aid Station! Fuel up mid-run with a little extra lefse love—because who doesn’t want a boost of warm, goodness on the go?

We will be selling 3 piece packs of lefse for $10 from 9am to 11am on December 13th.

Lace up your running shoes, bring your holiday spirit, and let’s make this a morning to remember!

This year SuperOne Foods has generously donated all of the  required ingredients to keep everyone busy making lefse well into December. Thanks to them we have all the butter, cream, flour and a few hundred pounds of potatoes.

The registration link goes live on Monday, November 24th.
