Words to Ponder:

We as Lutherans love to live in paradox.  We see ourselves as both sinner and saint, we view the cross serves as the site of both life and death, and we often talk about the relationship between law and gospel.  But what about the relationship between church and world? We say our allegiance lies with God, but yet we are still citizens of this world in a myriad of ways.  How do we faithfully proclaim the coming of God’s reign on this earth and yet take part in this complicated world?  Where are First Lutheran’s gifts for bringing the Word to our local and global communities?  What are the gifts that YOU bring to the church? How can embracing paradox embolden us to do good works in the world?

Tune in this Sunday to hear the message from Pastoral Intern, Logan McLean Strike!

Remember to have a piece or loaf a bread available to take part in Food for the Journey during worship.
